I was beginning to wonder if you'd thrown in the towel and decided to give it up so I am very glad to see these new postings. Between you and Rounder you make my life interesting. Hopefully the new posts are only the start of renewed activity. Thanks for all you do to share these obscure gems. I know it has to be a lot of work and a labor of love so to speak that largely goes unnoticed or at least under appreciated. At least now you know that I appreciate all you do. Jon
I was afraid that their was something bad happened in your life. But look at that. You are back in town!! I appricied all the work you've done and do on your wonderfull site. Thanks for all the good stuff.
Thanks Bill. Hey Jon, I'm a big bluegrass nut, but I'm not familiar with which Rounder keeps your life interesting. Is it the record label blog? I agree with the great delight that Bill has given us, and is back to doing. Best to all,
For Iggy, Iggy, Google 'Friends Of Old Time Music #3'. It's the cucumber one. (The #3 needs to be there to narrow the search down.) Sand, I hope it's ok with you using this comment box for a message board in this case. Jon
Bill, thanks for the Oregon Territory LP - I thought i had the only copy! I have an LP of the Muddy Bottom Boys from Portland, same Grassroots label 1982, the interesting thing is that Stacy Phillips was playing dobro and fiddle, i think the only time he has played fiddle on record. I will send you the LP if you want to post. jeffmillerstl@gmail.com
